Classic Peach Cobbler Recipe

Nothing beats a super simple and classic dessert, like peach cobbler! We use home canned peaches from the farmstand, but you can use any canned, fresh or frozen peaches you have available!

INGREDIENTS:

½ c (1 stick) butter

1 cup flour

1 cup sugar

1 TBPS baking powder

Pinch of salt

1 cup milk

4 cups canned or frozen sliced peaches

Ground cinnamon or nutmeg (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Melt Butter in a 13x9 inch baking dish in the oven. In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, stirring just until mixed. Pour batter over melted butter, do not stir. Scatter peach slices on top of the batter, do not stir. Sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg if desired.

Bake 40-50 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm or cold with icecream or whipped cream.

NOTE: You can use fresh peaches in place or canned or frozen slices. If using fresh, bring peeled slices to a boil over high heat with 1 cup sugar, and 1 TBSP lemon juice before placing slices on top of the batter.
